LEPTONDALE P.B.I.S.
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is an initiative that focuses on the creation, teaching and acknowledgement of expectations.
As part of this program, Leptondale Elementary School has created a theme that connects the district mascot, Wallkill Panthers, to our school expectations.
Our theme, known as PAWS, stands for Positive Attitude, Act Respectfully and Responsibly, Wise Choices and Safety.
Throughout the building, signs have been posted that remind the faculty, staff and students of our hallway, bus, and cafeteria expectations. Teachers are also connecting the PAWS theme into their own classroom rules/expectations.
P - Positive Attitude
A- Act Responsibly & Respectfully
W- Wise Choices
S- Safety
